Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Information

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church was established in 1872. The church continues to be a vibrant community-focused church, located approximately five miles from Uptown Greenwood, South Carolina. It is a historical African American Missionary Baptist Church supporting the local member church Union, the Little River Missionary Baptist Association, as well as the South Carolina State and National Baptist Conventions. Mt. Moriah bears witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ for education, economic, and community transformation.

"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has
been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you
always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

We are prayerfully seeking our 18th Pastor who will be the Pastor of the church, and therefore have responsibility for all programming and stewardship results through oversight and cooperation with church officers, trustees, staff and members.
