Soldiers for Christ Youth Ministry - Pamela Morton, Chairperson
Youth Ministry will seek to prepare young people for participation in the Unions on fifth Saturday, the Literary Concert, The Oratorical Contest, and attendance at the State Conventions. Strong Christian ethics and values will be taught so that our youth will be rooted in Christian believes.
Music Ministry - Edris Louise Robinson, Minister of Music
The Mount Moriah Music Ministry desires to serve God through music by embracing hymns, gospel, anthems, spirituals, contemporary, instrumental and dance for the purpose of giving God Glory. We provide sacred music for worship services, funerals, special services, anniversaries and community events.
Prison Ministry and is made up of a team of dedicated members who are willing to take the “GOOD NEWS’ of Jesus Christ to those in prison and in jail. This team will also serve as a support team for persons after they have been released from prison.
The Evangelism Ministry Team is made up of dedicated Christians who are willing to give themselves to the spreading of God’s Holy Word. THE HARVEST IS TRULY PLENTIOUS, BUT THE LABOURERS ARE FEW!!! PLEASE PRAY YE THEREFORE THE LORD OF THE HARVEST, THAT HE WILL SEND FORTH LABOURERS INTO HIS HARVEST.
We welcome young couples to join our “COUPLES MINISTRY”. This ministry is made up of a group of young married couples meeting together to discuss those things which are common to married life. Its joys, sorrows, financial problems, education, and rearing of children. This group also discusses the overcoming of difficult times and the strength that comes through fellowship.
THROUGH THIS GROUP, FAMILIES ARE LED TO CHRIST.
USHERS MINISTRY “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness”. (Psalm 84:10)
Ushers are those in our church who are selected to help prepare the proper atmosphere that is conducive to a genuine worship experience. They are workers with God, the pastor, and the congregation.
The Nurses’ Ministry provides preventive health care and information for the congregation. It is staffed by Health Professionals and welcome other Health Professional to assist. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost, therefore we must take of it.
The hospitality ministry, an extended arm of the ushers, is made up of a group of women who are dedicated to the service of making people feel welcome and a part of the Mt. Moriah Family of God.
DEACON AND DEACONESS MINISTRY
The Deacon and Deaconess ministry represents the group of men along with their wives whom the disciples chose in Acts 6:2-3. “It is not the reason that we should leave the Word of God and serve tables. Wherefore, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business”.
They assist with the Communion, carry Communion to the sick and shut-ins, visit and pray for the sick, care for the widows and orphans, and serve the table of the pastor and his family. The Deacons serve as arm bearers to the pastor.
The Trustees and their wives serve the church in a most vital way. They care for the material possessions of the church, the church buildings, and the grounds. Trustees are persons “who manage for others”.
TRUSTEES’ WIVES MINISTRY
The Trustees’ wives help their husbands in serving the church. They sponsor senior citizens’ dinners, provide fresh flowers for the pulpit on First Sundays, serve as ushers, teachers, and sponsor an annual program each year.
CHURCH SCHOOL MINISTRY
The Church School, the pride of our church, meets each Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. We have ten classes, suited for you and your children, taught by spirit-filled, efficient men and women. It is here that we seed for future growth. It is during the hour of Church School that we have time to prepare, plant, water, cultivate, nurture and wait for harvest.
Our AWANA Ministry meets every Wednesday evening (during the school term) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Awana teaches students that God is real, He loves them and He has expressed that love through His Son, Jesus Christ. They learn how God can help them in their daily lives. Bible-based lessons teach them how to obey God in a complex world.
The goal of AWANA is to give young people the chance to know, love and serve God. This ministry serves all grade levels.
This group meets as a class taught by Mrs. Emma Greene. They are constantly praying that God will pour out His blessings upon them and the entire world.

Our Senior Brothers join with Brotherhoods throughout the State in reaching one goal: “Obtaining 2000 registered boys as Junior Brotherhood”. This is done through training in monthly meetings and workshops.
TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO: AND WHEN HE IS OLD, HE WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT. (Proverbs 22:6)
MIDWEEK PRAYER SERVICE AND BIBLE STUDY MINISTRY
Our Mid-Week Prayer service and Bible Study is the life of our church. It is that one time other than Sunday morning that those who love the LORD go up together at a set hour of prayer into the temple. Every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m., God’s people gather for prayer and Bible Study.
